Black Dynamite : The Animated Series

For those who don’t know Black Dynamite is a hilarious Blaxsploitation homage / spoof. Starring Micheal Jai White, who also co-wrote the movie.

As a parody/homage of the blaxploitation movies of the 70′s, it was perfect. The music, the fashion, the hairstyles, the grainy picture; it felt authentic but most importantly it was funny.

BET Cyphers 2011: Shady 2.0 Cypher

From all the cyphers this year, for me the Shady 2.0 cypher really stood out the most with lyrically insane verses by the shady crew.
Em signed some new artists to his label and it’s safe to say that they are all heavy hitters when it comes down to lyricism.
Check out The Shady crew with Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf and the president himself Mr. Slim Shady.

Kobe Bryant Is The Black Mamba

This is one of the dopest commercials I’ve ever seen in my entire life!
I had to share it with you guys, the production is crazy!

Throwback: The Lyricist Lounge Show

What up people, today we got another throwback for your eyes and ears with The Lyricist Lounge Show.
The first time I remember seeing Hiphop being mad funny was with The Lyricist Lounge Show.
Back in the days this aired on MTV and I swear no other show on MTV right now can touch this shit!!!
I laughed so hard every time I saw the sketches they where performing on the show and the freestyles at the end of every show.
The cast of the show consisted out of mc’s Mastah Fool, Wordsworth and BabeePower who are no strangers to the hiphop game, with geust rappers such as MosDef, Snoopdogg, and Rahdigga just to name a few.
To get a better understanding of the show check out these few sketches and freestyles!
ENJOY!!

Holland In Da Hood

Last week this clip caught my attention and I laughed so fucking hard when watching, it was ridiculous people!
The clip i’m referring to is a trailer or a sneak preview of this new television show called  Holland In Da Hood.
The idea is that local “hiphop heads” get flown to The States to earn respect, street credibility  and at the same time get tested in they’re knowledge of the Hiphop culture.
First time I saw this I thought it was a joke but after watching it again I really think this shit is for reals.
It’s sad though, that people refer shit like this with Hiphop, but on the other hand…  man…. this will make for some great television !
Enjoy these next three minutes and for our international following, no worries, there are subtitles!!

T.V. Show : ThunderCats

Thunder Cats Hoohh, who doesn’t remember the classic cartoon ThunderCats? Well if you don’t you have a chance to check it out again. Like anything that was ever cool in our childhood, they’ve rebooted it. But I gotta be honest it’s pretty good, it premiered yesterday on Cartoon Network. Which means for us European folks you can coughdownloadcough it since this morning. Either you knew it since your childhood or never saw it in your life, it’s definitely worth to check it out. Check the trailer for a little taste. And remember you’re never to old for your innerchild.

TV : Mos Def In New Season Of Dexter

I’m a big fan of Dexter so imagine my surprise when I heard Mos would be playing a recurring role in Dexter.

“Season 6 of the Showtime hit series “Dexter” is filming as we speak, and slowly but surely peeks of the series’ new cast additions have been surfacing, this latest one courtesy of this week’s Entertainment Weekly.

Below you’ll find your first look at Mos Def as Brother Sam – a hardened ex-con who claims to have found religion yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence. Michael C. Hall’s Dexter will reveal the truth of who he really is. Mos Def joins Colin Hanks — who will appear in all 12 episodes — as one of the upcoming season’s villains. Hanks will play Travis, Dexter’s main nemesis and a highly intelligent ancient artifacts expert who is linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami. At this point it is unclear in how many episodes Def will appear. But he is one of multiple recurring characters who will populate the show after the dispatching of Season Five’s guest stars including Jonny Lee Miller, Julia Stiles, and Peter Weller. Look for more “Dexter” news soon!”

How To Make It In America: Season 2 Tease (HBO)

Starting in September.  Can’t wait  season 1 was real nice.

Lupe Fiasco on Bill O’Reilly

Look I’m not a fan of Lupe I don’t know why I just think he’s a douche can’t help it. But if I have to choice between Lupe and O’Reilly. I’d go for Lupe, I wouldn’t even have to think about it. O’Reilly is an ignorant man who spreads hate and fear among the people. A fearmonger who just loves to act like a bully who interrupts his guest if he feel like he is losing an argument. I don’t even know what’s worst, him being a hateful petty man or that there are people who take him seriously.
