Track Of The Day: Hypnotic Brass Ensemble – War

Powerful music, a powerful message and a powerful video, thats how I would describe the song War by the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
This 9 piece Chicago based brass group is no new comer to the music industry, they have performed with Mos Def, Aquilla Sadalla, Phil Cohran, The Recipe, Nomadic Massive, Tony Allen and at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland. In late 2007 they recorded with Erykah Badu and Maxwell, they are also collaborators on a number of tracks off of the third Gorillaz studio album called Plastic Beach and today they are featured here at Beats Life And Rhymes with they’re song War.
Listening to this song I can’t help but to get a feeling of rebellion a feeling of speaking my mind and a feeling of doing something.
If you look at the video clip the images used suit the music perfectly in my opinion.
The song came of the album New York City Live which is an album containing live music all done during a concert at the High Line Ballroom.
Enjoy the sound of the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble this Saturday morning and have a nice day!
