“They got a tax on everything but breathing”

Lyrics that still make sense today…RIP Jimmy Castor Bunch.

Where are the days that music was funky and still had a message. In the 60’s and 70’s there were soul and funk bands that delivered quality music with a true message about people facing everyday struggles, poverty, racism and social problems.
In the 80’s and 90’s rappers took over and became the CNN of the streets. It’s so sad to sometimes find black music in the poor poppy state that it’s in today. Time for a new Bob Marley, James Brown, Gil Scot Heron, Public Enemy or Jimmy Castor to stand up!
